Año Nuevo… Reflexiones… Nuevas Perspectivas… Y estas pueden incluir para algunos de nosotros, Nuevas Metas y Nuevos Desafíos. Se puede decir que no podemos volver atrás y cambiar el principio, pero ciertamente podemos empezar donde estás y guiar el final para lograr los resultados que deseas.
Damos la bienvenida al 2022 con nuestras esperanzas para el futuro siendo probadas con pruebas morales y de la vida real sobre cómo hacer del mundo un lugar mejor. El coronavirus trastornó el mundo de repente y todavía estamos tratando de hacerle frente, de salvar vidas y medios de subsistencia, ya que nos enfrentamos continuamente a variantes de este virus. Sin embargo, también sabemos que las crisis pueden ser oportunidades… ¡es una cuestión de perspectiva!
En 2022, ASAC también conmemorará su 20 aniversario, un hito de celebración para nuestra organización. Reflexionemos sobre nuestro rol como Senador ASAC JCI para seguir fortaleciendo nuestra organización, uniéndonos como Senadores, una familia Senadora que cree que “La hermandad del hombre trasciende la soberanía de las naciones”. Unámonos y unámonos detrás de soluciones para hacer frente a este virus y otros desafíos que pueden beneficiar a todas las personas y fortalecer nuestra organización en todos los niveles: local, nacional e internacional.
En los primeros años de nuestra organización, los miembros de la JCI se llamaban Hombres/Mujeres de Visión. Desafío a que, como senadores, podamos seguir siendo hombres y mujeres de visión en los siguientes roles:
- Motivador: para guiar a quienes eligen seguirnos y ayudar a otros a convertir el principio de “un añode liderazgo” en un camino dinámico hacia el éxito.
- Mentor – para aconsejar a aquellos cuyas vidas tocamos
- Catalizador de cambio donde estemos, es decir, impactando en nuestras diferentes comunidades, ya sean grupos de individuos, o individuos separados por espacio geográfico, de tal manera que mejoren la calidad de vida de quienes nos rodean.
Unámonos y unámonos detrás de soluciones que puedan beneficiar a todas las personas, especialmente siguiendo el mantra 2022 del Senado de la JCI Colombia, Servir+.
A todos los miembros y funcionarios del Senado JCI de Colombia, gracias por su excelente contribución y apoyo a ASAC, incluida la organización de emocionantes y productivas visitas oficiales. Reconocimiento especial a la Presidenta Pasada Tilsa N. Vega Rodríguez y su Junta y al Presidente Carlos E. Barrera y su junta.
¡Que disfrutemos de un 2022 pacífico y productivo!

Dear Members
New Year … Reflections … New Perspectives … and these may include for some of us, New Goals and New Challenges. One can say that we cannot go back and change the beginning, but we can certainly start where we are and guide the ending to achieve the results that you want.
We welcome 2022 with our hopes for the future being tested with moral and real-life tests of how to make the world a better place. The coronavirus upended the world suddenly and we are still trying to cope, to save lives and livelihoods as we are continually challenged with variants of this virus. However, we also know that crises can be opportunities … it is a matter of perspective!
In 2022, ASAC will also commemorate its 20th anniversary, a celebratory milestone for our organization. Let us reflect on our role as an ASAC JCI Senator to continue to strengthen our organization, bonding as Senators, a Senate family who believes that “The brotherhood / sisterhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations”. Let us come together and unite behind solutions to cope with this virus and other challenges that can benefit all people and strengthen our organization at all levels – the local, the national and the international.
In the early years of our organization, JCI members were called Men/ Women of Vision. I challenge that as Senators we can continue to be men and women of vision in the following roles,
- Motivator: to guide those who choose to follow us and help others turn the “one year ofleadership” principle into a dynamic path to success.
- Mentor – to advise those whose lives we touch
- Catalyst for change where we are, that is, impacting our different communities, whether they are groups of individuals, or individuals separated by geographic space, in such a way as to improve the quality of life of those around us.
Let us come together and unite behind solutions that can benefit all people, especially pursuing the 2022 mantra of the Senate of JCI Colombia, Service+.
To all the Members and Officers of the JCI Senate of Colombia, thank you for your sterling contribution and support to ASAC, inclusive of arranging exciting and productive official visits. Special recognition to Past President Tilsa Vega Rodriguez and her Board and to President Carlos E. Barrera and his Board.
May we enjoy a peaceful and productive 2022!
